Description
Dodecagon means 12 sided and we have here 12 Twelve sided disks set into a 3 x 4 grid. Your goal is to arrange the disks such that all adjacent numbers match. The laser engraved mahogany 1/4" thick disks are removable and can go in any position on the board. The disks are 2" in diameter and will accurately set onto the alloy steel pins which are press fit into the double layer floorboard base. This is a high quality puzzle measuring about 9.5 x 8" with a great feel and look. It is shown sitting within the full length cover. It is also VERY difficult; one of our most difficult.
Although the full solution is provided, to perhaps increase your opportunity for solution I have provided a series of 4 hints with the puzzle. These will be stapled so that you cannot see them until you decide that you need the help.
The key to this puzzle is finding the correct wheel order. Once that is accomplished, the alignment is fairly straight forward. Trouble is that there are 12! (12 factorial) possible arrangements of the wheels. I don't want to alarm you so I won't do the math here, but believe me it's a big ole number...
