Description
Wood set with base and cover. The Cover contains the Smiley Face Game (2 versions of play) and when opened you will find the Odd-Even Tag Game. So there are 3 different games to play. The set measures about 7.5" square. Everything is wood except I made playing pieces from colored acrylic in various shapes to make them easy to identify.
These are fun and educational games the basis for which come from Teresa Evens work from www.MakingMathMoreFun.com. She has an extensive offering of books and also free printouts that truly do make math more fun! My thanks to Teresa for allowing me to make these 2 games from wood.
The Rules for each game are pasted below and are reviewed in brief on the video.

Odd-Even Tag Game Rules
One Player is Odd; the other Even. Players put a marker on odd or Even
Take turns throwing 1 dice. On each roll:
If # is odd, the Odd player moves forward that number of spaces
If # is even, the Even player moves forward.
The winner is the first person to catch or overtake the other.
The Smiley Face Game Rules
Object: Collect the most smiley faces to win the game.
Two ways of playing:
1) Smiley Capture - great fun for nearly all ages
2) Smiley Strategy - a thinking persons game for ages 8 to adult.
Rules for Smiley Capture: For 2 to 4 players, ages 4 to Adult
Game pieces:
8 - single Smiley Faces, 2 - double Smiley Faces, 1 - Triple Smiley Face.
1 - Dice, 4 player pieces in colored acrylic
To start play, place the Triple Smiley Face on the last number, #81.
Scatter the other Smiley Face pieces on numbers of your choice from #7 to #80.
This can vary from game to game. We recommend you have at least one Smiley Face on each row.
Do not use #1-6 for Smiley Faces so as to not give the player who goes first an advantage.
Roll the dice to see who goes first; highest number goes first.
Players alternate turns proceeding left to right
Upon your turn roll the dice and move your piece according to the roll. If you land on exact
count on a Smiley Face then capture it and remove from game. You are also awarded an extra turn.
If you land on a Double Smiley Face, you are awarded 2 extra turns.
If you land on an opponent, you must move backwards to the nearest available open space not occupied
by a Smiley Face or another opponent.
If all players pass the point of a Smiley Face with no one capturing it, then it is immediately picked
up and replaced on the board in the highest possible open number. This process continues such
that near the end of the game there may be a number of Smiley Faces lined up in the top row.
You can only reach the end of the game by landing on #81 with an exact roll. For example, if you are
on space #80, you would need a 1 to capture the final Triple Smiley Face and end the game.
If you roll anything larger than 1 in this case, you could not move and the game would continue
to the next person. When someone does reach the Triple Smiley on #81 the game immediately
ends. The person with the most Smiley Faces wins. The Double Smiley counts 2 and the Triple
Smiley counts 3.
Rules for Smiley Strategy - a 2 person strategy game for ages 8 to Adult
Game pieces used:
8 Smiley Faces, 2 Double Smiley Faces, 1 Triple Smiley Face
Only one Colored Game piece is required
No Dice
Determine who goes first by coin flip or roll of a dice.
First player moves the lone marker forward 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 spaces.
Next player moves the same marker forward 1 to 5 spaces. Players continue to take turns to move the
marker forwards 1 to 5 spaces. Each player that lands on a Smiley captures that Smiley.
The winner is the player who has the most points when the marker reaches 81.
To start play, place the Triple Smiley Face on the last number, #81.
Scatter the other Smiley Face pieces on numbers of your choice from #13 to #80.
This can vary from game to game. We recommend you have each player alternate placing
Smiley Faces on the board.
