Description
This will make an excellent desk or coffee table type puzzle, and it can be quite diabolical.
The object is to collect all the "nickels". The board, which measures about 8" x 2", is deeply laser engraved with name and instructions. The nickels are made from 1/4" maple and are also laser engraved.
To start the puzzles, arrange they 9 nickels in any sequence of heads & tails. Person flipping may change any 1 nickel at the start of the game; ie change a head to a tail or vice versa.
RULES: Remove any head and flip over neighboring coin(s). Coins are considered "neighbors" if they are immediately adjacent to each other. Note: If there is a gap between coins after some moves, they are no longer neighbors. Repeat the process, selecting a head and flipping neighbors, as long as there is a head showing. Can you collect all the nickels? I don't want to give away any secrets to the solution here, but if you want to know more about that, watch the last half of the video.
